INFAMOUS

Infamous is a book series that documents the lives of some of the most infamous serial killers known to date. Each book focuses on one killer and starts at the beginning of their life all the way down to how they ended up. In order to communicate the seriousness and fear of the title to the audience I relied on creating typography through analog methodologies. I took a page from Saul Bass’ work and distressed the typography so it would take on an emotion of its own.

This process consisted of me printing out each headline, distressing the paper to get a grungy aesthetic then scanned it back in. To keep the books cohesive, I used a picture of the murderer along with their preferred nickname and weapon on every cover.
