OUTSIDE LANDS REBRAND

The Outside Lands Music and A­s Festival is a music festival held annually in San Francisco, California, at Golden Gate Park. The festival is produced by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents, and Starr Hit Presents. It is the largest independently owned music festival in the United States. In 2019, it was the world’s highest-grossing festival with revenues of almost $30 million.

For a festival of this caliber, a new refreshing branding is implemented annually to help differentiate it from the previous year. So, for the year I decided to create a new logo, bring in some icons that related to Covid-19, and some a new typeface that could go on collateral and the new website and app. Colors were brought in from the previous year but used in a color-blocking manner to feel different.
